Re: Fairy tale feedback
I love the atmosphere together with the rainbow. I think I would like to see the fairy/girl/niece a bit more defined but maybe get her wings a bit more transparent so one can see through them what is behind them. I think I might try the unicorn without the wings and then see which worked best. Great idea...perhaps a Friday Challenge here along the lines of Kid With Dinosaur a while back. Marty |

Re: Fairy tale feedback
I agree with Marty. Lose the unicorn's wings (they generally don't have them, that's Pegasus). I feel there's too much going on in the right hand side of the picture which makes it a little lop-sided and the girl is a little lost in the confusion - she's the main subject, after all. If the horse is an addition, maybe flip it horizontally and place it further to the left. You could also cover its hooves in the fern for that all important interactivity. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Thanks guys, points taken and heres a revised version. Think it looks better, however i am gutted as the wings were devilish to make and took ages. ![]() ![]() |

Re: Fairy tale feedback
Great improvement. The only thing I would change is the position of the unicorn since it appears that the fairy/little girl/ niece is about to become impaled on the animal's horn...perhaps more horizontal and with a bit of free transform looking up at her. I particularly like what you did with the stars. Marty |

Re: Fairy tale feedback
And maybe bend her feet down a little? It looks too much like she should be standing on something, bending the feet would make her look like she's flying. Personally, I rather liked the unicorn wings, but I had a problem with them clashing with your niece's wings. Perhaps now that you've flipped the unicorn, you could put them back, a little smaller? As for "they generally don't have them" - what zoological manual are you consulting here, David? |

Generally, as in the [fictional] mystyical world. Of course, there's nothing to say there couldn't be a union of the two species. ![]() _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Great picture Chris ... Love how you've done the stars and for what it's worth .... I preferred the picture 'with' the wings ... who said it was a unicorn anyway? ![]() |
