There's been talk of this on the iStock forums - can't post the link as its blocked at work but it refers to that site too. Interesting concept.

It has to be a model, there's far too little traffic/accidents on the Palace Pier roundabout

I was amazed when I saw how easy it is to make these and how effective they actually look!

I used that tutorial steve, but it was from a different website!

There's not that many accidents on the palace pier roundabout as I don't think I was driving anywhere that day...

I had a play with the technique. This could become addictive!

Lexus, You can close to the same effect by:
1. duplicate the layer
2.add gaussian blue
3. erase the area that wish to be in sharp focus with a large soft brush or by adding a mask and painting with black on the area desired to be in sharp focus.

Gaussian blue! That's the colour I've painted my bedroom!

Re: Brighton - The Model!
Not sure if you're interested but... Has anyone seen a Volkswagen Van advert that’s out at the moment in the UK (dad buys son a new VW, son thinks he’s getting a convertible golf but he’s actually been given a white van). I'm sure they used this technique over the video to give it a slightly surreal look. Also, I think the registration on the van read TOY.
