family photo
I wanted a nice photograph of my niece and her boy. Looking thorugh my holiday photos, I found one that was almost right, but I wanted her looking at the camera, so I found an other photo of her.
Colours quite different. To get a good starting point, I cut and pasted the photo of the boys head, and then used Match colour. I copied some of her hair fro the orginial photo (flipped it horizontal for the right side) with some soft eraser I soften the edges.
Some cloning on the background to remove the original head. I also moved her pupils, so the direction of her eyes are the same as the boys, doesn't really show in this small photo.
Not perfect, but getting close.
Comments welcome.

I like what you did with matching color however there is something not natural about the position of her head. The main thing, I think, is that her head is turned 90 degrees which is something that I am unable to do. Another part of it is that I think her chin needs to lower and closer to her shoulder. Hope that I do not offend. Marty

No offence taken, I quite agree and have now done an other one. Using part of the shoulder from and other photo taken at te same time to get a better body position.
How's this?

much better. Now I am not sure if my doubts are because I know that the picture has been "cheated". I like the tilted head much more and the boy's hand under the chin. Let's see what some others say. By the way: nice looking relatives. Marty

Re: family photo
The second attempt is definitely much better.
I have a couple of suggestions. I would add some "flesh" to the mother's neck since you tilted her head. In my eyes it looks too thin right now. I would add some on the right side in the picture so that side would have a more vertical shape. Clone stamp and/or a healing brush should probably do the job.
I would also make the outline of the top of the boy's right hand sharper. Right now the top of the hand seems to be moving. In this case the eraser set to fairly hard (80-90%) should do the job.
Hope these suggestions might be of some help.

Beautiful, Vibeke! Nice touch with her hair in front of his hand like that. It would take an expert to say that it's not a real photo.
