Re: the rage...
wow! very good. maybe a sparkle of light reflection on the sword. His belt and breast plates seem like they could be a little more metallic. Also, some vascularity on the warrior's skin, maybe? Or some dirt from the battle... I hope this doesn't offend. It really is a fantastic piece of art! |

Did you create the figure from scratch? It must have taken days to do. I'm just trying out 3D modeling with anim8or and I know what a slow process it is ![]() |

Re: the rage...
no offense taken...good points i'll look at. ![]() though to be honest the reflection thing is so over used because it's almost the first thing that one would think of (myself included) and was deliberately left out because when the tide turns left...i turn right. long story short i hate to be trendy. just learning to model, eh? expect a steep learning curve and lots of mistakes. eventually you learn how to use the system for your own unique way of working and then you do become quicker...but modeling is not a quick thing all by itself. just keep at it. ![]() |

Re: the rage...
I just stopped by to read your response, and glanced at the pic agan. I noticed that the lighting doesn't seem to be quite right. If the light source was comming from the warrior's right side, everything in the artwork is accurate except his right forearm and hand. It looks as though his right arm should have the same light and shading as his helmet. Again, it is a very stunning work and I am very much a novice with this sort of thing. I figure that the only way for me to get better, is to at least put a penny of two cents in...and learn from other artists feedback! ![]() |

Re: the rage...
tank, your absolutely right. here's my easy way out answer...there are two suns dummy! lol! ![]() i am using some backlighting to get the mood right but your observation needs to be addressed i think. thanks for your input. also redid the belt (looks more realistic now) and added just a touch more chainmail. i'll touch up the lighting and repost the results. |

Incredible! I really like the way you cropped image to show only the opponent's hand and forearm...Really adds to the drama. Also, I think the background fits perfectly. It sort of gives a supernatural godly power to the warrior. The light/shade is almost flawless as well! Very good work. |

Re: the rage...
lol..I find that I keep comming back to this page! Just wanted to say that I'm not too sure about that new blood splatter on his abdomen...maybe a little dodge and burn, or plastic wrap filter in Photoshop could do the trick to add depth and flow to the blood. |
