•Warning•female partial nude•please don't be offended•
I'm getting some artwork ready for a digital photography contest with the local Art Guild in town. I'm considering using this photo for one of my entries. This will be the first time I've ever submitted in an 'official' contest. I'm not sure if this would be the sort of artistic license judges will favor. The Art Guild held a contest last week and there were oil-painted nudes submitted. But not anything in the digital photography category.

This is a work in progress, I still have three months to refine this piece.

Constuctive criticism welcome.

(sorry if i dont use a proper word, it´s a long time since i dont write in english)

it´s an amazing job tank!
I think you´ve chosen a very nice posture, talking about composition you could give it more space to the sides
are you sure the left arm can be in that position? is that possible?

you should definitely find out what judging criteria is going to be used, so you can refine your picture based on that

Thanks for the helpful response, Vicho! I'm glad you like the design. The model was rendered in Poser6. So, her left arm does needs to be repositioned. All the postwork was done in Photoshop.

What's really going to be a challenge is that I've got to figure out how I made this effect! When I downsized the image to fit on this website, I accidently pressed the shortcut key for Save instead of Save For Web! Now, I've got a 100 kb PSD file with only a background layer! I didn't realize this until I reopened the file for editing!

I used a number of blending modes and adjustment layers at low opacity, as well as multiple digital negative layers at very low opacities and at different blending modes. What mode was used on which layer will be an unforgiving task!

Also, I met with a representative at the Art Guild and she said that this type of design will fall in the digital illustration category. (A category comprising of a total of 5 entries from only three different artists in their last contest! )
