First attempt at portrait retouching
I literarly googled 'photos that need retouching'
The goal was to make the woman look younger, better looking in general, etc.
Any tips or crits?

Very interesting. I like the treatment of the skin and the hair particularly.

The hardest part, as is so often the case, is knowing when to stop. I think you've gone a little overboard on the lips and the blush on the cheeks, making her look a little clown-like.

I always recommend painting each makeup element on a separate layer. That way, when you've finished, you can reduce the opacity of the various layers and tone it all down to something a little less overwhelming.

I agree with you,
knowing when to stop is the hardest part indeed!
I did however use separate layers for lips and the blush, but I guess I've overdone them a bit there.

I did some experimenting with the skin and I like how it came out, the hair didn't cause problems actually, sliding the saturation bar to the right pretty much did the job there.

Anyway, thanks a lot!
