A Nightclub Flyer
Here's a flyer-poster for an imaginary event in an imaginary club. It's my first shot at this kind of things so i really want to know that you think, if you have some tips for me "

Oh, and I have a couple of questions that I hope someone could anwser... Is there a "standard dpi" or "standard size" for a poster of that kind? And is it okay to make these things in Photoshop, I mean perhaps Illustrator is better for this kind of artwork (don't know a thing of Illustrator, LOL)

Anyway, thanks!

Hi MrB! This looks good! The imagery is great and typical of the kind of thing you get on these types of flyers, everythings clear and easy to read.

Just to nitpick, but there's something bothering me about the text at the bottom, not sure if it's the font of the black shadow? and is it correctly centred or is i just my eyes?

It's all good though.

300dpi is good for printing. Always best to work bigger than you think you'l need, then you can always scale down.. but never up!, finding suitable, large high res images can be tough though (unless you take your own photographs).

Photoshop is best for editing images, but the beauty of Illustrator is that you can create Vector drawings. Vectors are designed to always maintain their resolution whatever size you make them.

But for a standard small flyer you can usually get away with just using Photoshop for most things.

Small point: the fan of bottles on the left has all the labels backwards. You can't get away with that!
