Montage flies trap
Hi friends, sometimes it is better to create our own assets for montages, so when I was asked to design an advertisement for a product (fly kill bait) I only had a low resolution photo of the bait. The bait attracts flies so I needed lots of flies from different angles approaching to the product. I downloaded a free (and basic) 3D model and watched several tutorials of Cinema4D. I chose that software because it has lots of tools for creating particles (bait is just lots of tiny balls) and making duplicates of models without much effort. Then comped everything in Photoshop, the final design was done in Illustrator. The hardest part was creating texture for the 3D fly and of course choosing the right poses. I do not think I succeeded in making realistic shadows for the flies, I was in a rush so I just used drop shadow for everything. What would have been your approach? Thanks |
