I have a few ideas
I am attending the Art Institute of California.
There I am majoring in Game Art & Design.
What about doing some game art stuff?
Like how to make eyeballs, skin, and other stuff that could be used by students like myeself.
Also you can do your take on metal and glows for weapons or effects.
If you need to know the specs that games use its quite simple.
Almost all games use powers of 2 such as 64 x 64 pixels. Just multiply both by 2 for higher pixels. Now I havn't seen a game yet that uses higher than 1024 x1024.
I have been going to the texture workshops at the college and they are good. But I like to learn more.

Just my rant. Feel free to drop me an email for samples etc.
Also I work currently at a electronics fabrication plant. I have tons of electronic circuts and old vintage equipment nobs switches for anyone who is interested in doing something with 80's tech.
The images are very high res I don't like taking photos of stuff hard to work with.

Great ideas, Stephen. Trouble is, I don't have any pages left in the book! But maybe for the 4th edition, whenever that may be?

Most interested in your knobs and switches, though…

Steve, you've probably mentioned this already, but since I'm too lazy and ignorant to trawl through the older posts on the forum, could you tell me if that means the book is finished yet? If so, does that mean we have a confirmed release date yet? I can't wait for number 4.

Amazon are giving August 15th as the release date, so take that, add the current temperature in degrees celsius, multiply by the number of pages in the book and you should have the real release date!
