Match Colour
Hi Steve Is it too late to suggest topics for the 3rd edition? If not, I'd like to request a couple of pages on Match Colour. When I first saw this feature being demonstrated it looked amazing - no more messing around with curves, trying to match the hues of one layer with that of another - just a couple of clicks and Photoshop would magically do the work. To my frustration, however, I have never had a decent result whenever ive attempted to use it- and now dont even bother trying. Re: Match Colour
Paul, I'm with you on that one. The demos looked great, but I've been unable to make it work for me on anything approaching a satisfactory level. So until it improves dramatically, it doesn't warrant a mention. |

Re: Match Colour
Match colour seems to work best on individual elements, I used it on the (disjointed) hand in the easter egg image I posted to the gallery. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Re: Match Colour
Yes the problem is that it will average out the hues & tones of the picture you're trying to match, so while it's great on individual elements it's not very good on something more busier like an urban street or a landscape. So it's best used in small doses and with a lot of Colour Balance. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |
