Colour Management
Ok, I thought of one more topic that might merit a few pages in the new edition. Colour management, Colour Spaces, ICC Profiles and calibrating your monitor. Clearly this is critical for a the photomontage artist whose carfully crafted masterpiece may look great on his own monitor but terrible on the client's / when printed. These topics, when presented elsewhere, are often dull/confusing and the temptation is to skip over it for something more fun. Aaargh… this is one I really want to steer clear of! It's such a huge topic, I couldn't do it justice without going into extreme detail - and there just isn't space in the book! |
