It's done!
Well, that took a long time. But the third edition is now complete - today I finished the html pages for the CD, all I have to do now is create the final PDF files from the InDesign documents (which I'll do on Monday) and we're there. Hurrah! Details to follow… |

Re: It's done!
This is all so flattering! Thanks, all of you, for your generous comments. Mid-August is on the schedule, no date announced yet. The publishers have agreed a discount for Forum readers, but it remains to be seen if they can beat Amazon's price! We'll have to wait and see… |

I can't wait! Will it be released in the US at the same time as the UK release? If not, then I'll happily pay the extra postage. Like I said, I really can't wait |

It should be released in the US at the same time as in the UK, although it may take a few weeks for people like Amazon to get around to placing it on their site. Will let you know! It's not a wholly new book, I do hope you all realize that - it's a reworking of the current one, with an extra 100 pages of new material. Details to follow! |

Re: It's done!
Congrats on completing your project! I used to work on productions and we would work like fiends pre-production and while the show ran, then celebrate when it was all over. Followed by a week or so of a let-down that I didn't have the project to work on any more. Do you go through such emotions when you finish a book? |

Re: It's done!
Exactly those emotions! I've really enjoyed writing this edition, especially with all the help you people on the forum have given me. Don't want to wait a year and a half before doing it again! The main sensation, however, is one of exhaustion… |

Re: It's done!
That is indeed great news; I’ll order it from Amazon as soon as it will be possible. I got both editions already, can’t wait to get the next one. Hehe.. Even few of my friends bought the book on my recommendation. What is really unique about book, are like hundreds of small tricks, scattered all over the book tucked neatly basically into each paragraph. That in addition to a very light-hearted writing style, which makes the learning real easy to follow and fun. Katrin Eismann uses similar style in her books. I think it must have something to do with your the Photoshop teaching experiences. Anyway, I look forward to see all the new case studies. |

Re: It's done!
A bit late but..... congratulations Steve, to echo all the other members I look forward to getting a copy and for the latest update of tips, tricks and cheats. Was going to ask if you used Indesign for the layout, am toying with swapping over from Quark myself - oooh, another programme to learn (sigh). As for the Third Edition - will there be a launch party or a booksigning session anywhere? _________________ most of the lack of sunshine in our lives is caused by us standing in our own shadow |
