Contest 214: The pigeon loft
I found this recently renovated pigeon loft in France - it's a 17th century building that's been fully resorted.

Not entirely sure why they're restored it, though, since there are no pigeons to make their nests in here.

Surely we can put this intriguing building to another use?

High res is here.

Now we know what happened to the pigeons.
I photographed the eagle at Juronga Bird Park, Singapore.

Steve, I this this is a resored Guillotine MkII, the French invented it to be more efficient than the old MkI. I recall reading that the UK had paid for the restoration to deal with some idiots who have brought this country to it's knees.

The loft was used as the prototype for the game KerPlunk.

Andy, that's showing a rather dark side. I think it's about time you had a title!

I take my hat off to everyone who has done an image this week. Fantastic work. I found this challenge extremely challenging.

Anna, that's a peach. Who's the boyfriend?

Shades of a bygone era.

Alternate usage required a little frivolity.

Re: Contest 214: The pigeon loft
Even before I saw Vibeke's amazing eagle I was wondering why it was empty. Surprising to me that pigeons get their own buildings!

About the best I can do this week and a bit of a cheat - however it did give me the chance to try out Nick's excellent technique !
