Contest 231: Concept correction
Here's a concept car I passed in London's Science Museum recently - it's one of those what-if constructions the car industry used to enjoy dreaming up, before they all ran out of cash.

It looks to me, from the position of the seat, as if the wheels need to rotate 90 degrees when this thing is in motion, in order to travel forwards and backwards rather than side to side. Is this too tricky a task to complete in Photoshop? And what sort of location might the manufacturer choose to set off their new baby?

High res is here.

And get rid of all the reflections!! Looks like a near rebuild - a challenge indeed.

Great idea for a Challenge Steve.

If that is the car I think it is, I saw a demo tape on it on one of the science channels. I think that the top of the car is supposed to pivot on top of the wheel base.

Oh...

Not sure why there is a Panda driving it... I just wanted to do something fun this time.

Very nice Jeepy

Maybe you should add a yellow reflection and use dodge / burn for the shading... thats a very strong sun as you can see on the cars.

Re: Contest 231: Concept correction
My attempts at wheel fiddling were suitably disastrous, so this is to console myself until I can have another jab at it.

Am I ruining my hardass reputation by admitting I used to love that old Batman TV series? I used to get up especially on Saturday mornings to watch it. Although I vastly preferred Cesar Romero and all the bad guy characters to old Batsy and The Boy Blunder... Ever the rebel, eh?
Coincidentally, I'm sure I heard something on the radio this morning about one of the original Batmobiles from that series being auctioned off. It must have stuck in my head, lol.

by the way, welcome Jeepy and all the other newbies, nice to see you joining up!

(Edit on 15/01/09: I just didn't have time to finish the second attempt below, sorry. But a biiiiig thanks to Gordon who helped me have another go at this, thanks buddy!

From the moment I saw that car I couldn't get Jetsons out of my head! So, ahem! No need for wheels, obviously.

Even flying cartoon cars need all round visibility! I made a blooper on my entry and had to rectify it. I should have known something was wrong when I got an entry in by Saturday!

Nick, I think you've done a great job on the windscreen and Sold sticker.
