Contest 234: Trafalgar Squared
I dropped into London's National Gallery this week, and in the entrance hall they had this rather splendid model of the building, located on the north side of Trafalgar Square (Nelson's Columns is out of shot to the right).

The thing is, though, that the street we're looking at here has been pedestrianised since the model was built. Can you bring the scene up to date? Or can you think of a better use for this street? And can you make the model look more like real life?

High res is here.

Thank you Josephine
I try to explain you :
After render a little bit blue your image with color balance
go to "Channels" copy red channel, ctrl+L 69 - 0.74 - 149 (for example), brush black for to hide clouds, dodge tool on the white,
ctrl+A, ctrl+C. Return "layers" and paste, change fusion mode in "Screen blend mode" Et voilą !
I hope you understand me.

Re: Contest 234: Trafalgar Squared
Many thanks Celia and Hope Leslie. There is great work here this week and Hope Leslie I love the clever way you've extended the city.

Michael and Bruce, your entries share a common theme and they really work - great imagination and skill from both of you.

Ben, that's very Athenian and I love the technique and texture used. I think Steve is going to have fun looking at all the work and I bet there are more great images to come.

Re: Contest 234: Trafalgar Squared
Bit strange, I had very similar ideas to Michael and Bruce. Their executions are great x2 .

Here's a first cut at something else Hope can give another more in the right gist later ...... ? (circa June 2006)

Re: Contest 234: Trafalgar Squared
Many thanks Jeepy - I shall have a go at that for next years Xmas card !

There have been some amazing entries this week - I particularly like Michael's seaside scene (the result of global warming ?) and Brewell's brilliant if slightly unnerving fantasy scene - the colours are beautiful !
