Challenge 1002: Wild horses
The big story in London this week was four wild horses breaking loose from the Household Cavalry and careering through the city – see this BBC report for more. Of course, all the decent photos of the event were immediately snapped up by the big photo libraries, so I'm not allowed to use them here. And anyway, the horses ran through a rather uninteresting part of London. I'm sure you can provide me with suitable imagery of the event. You'll need to source your own horses, and indeed your own London. |

I haven't tried yet but finding galloping horses without riders but with saddles could be interesting. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1002: Wild horses
I wasn't sure whether such a strongly lit background was going to provide a great atmosphere for an interesting image or a be nightmare to blend with and match. In the end it was both .......... ....... but I had a lot of fun! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Yes, well you've been having fun too Loyd. These all seem very content to have escaped cavalry discipline. Like Gordon I really like the atmosphere. I am, however, slightly tempted to entitle this "Equine TV personality and mare impersonator RoanPaul creates sensation mincing through London's streets!!". Sorry Loyd, but it was a completely unbidden instant first impression! Once seen, I just can't un-see! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1002: Wild horses
Thanks Gordon and David, but I can't take credit for the lighting. Apart from the added storm clouds, the background remains just the way I found it. David, "RoanPaul" is an amusing take... although I've heard the name 'RuPaul', I had to research a bit to get a better idea of whom you were referencing as a "mare impersonator". |

There seems to be conflicting reports about the fate of the two horses. The white one appeared to in a bad way. I hope they are ok. David, your leaping white horse is majestic and you've added interesting and believable reactions from the crowds. Loyd, having the deserted street only occupied by horses gives this a post apocalyptic feel. I love it. http://vimeo.com/940600780 _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

Nice work from everyone so far. I think I exhausted my one remaining brain cell with last week's efforts and don't think i can come out to play this week. Sorry . _________________ Whatever you do in life do it with the enthusiasm of a 4-year old in a Batman suit. |
