Challenge 1061: VE Day
A happy fourth of July to our American friends. Here in the UK we seem to be spending the whole year celebrating VE (Victory in Europe) Day, with flags and bunting stuck up at every opportunity.

I was wandering through a military show in the Norfolk city of Ely a couple of weeks ago when I came across this rather forlorn tent. They're clearly waiting for the show to start, but how on earth would you entertain this doleful crowd?

High res is here.

Funny. I thought the same thing when I posted it.

Very nice clip Loyd! You set the bar high on this one. If you played with a high light on the top of the middle audience heads and introduced a flicker on the tent it would be really set a nice tone.

Adding the lighting effects takes it out of the realm of the ‘quickie’, but here you go Dennis.

Funny you should say that Dennis. The only time I ever posted an animation here (in fact almost the only time I attempted to even make an animation), I played with exactly your suggestion.

Loyd has just done in a hour or two what took me days to achieve.

Apologies Steve for the diversion.

That's a lovely touch. Lovely Loyd.

I remember that challenge and it got me tinkering as well but I failed. Very clever David!

Completely out of ideas ......... so a tribute to the modern world's single greatest contribution to really dull and boring talks and lectures.

I grew up being taught that Churchill was one of our heroes. I thought of him for this challenge. I'm very glad you made this one Gordon, there is absolutely no way that I could have done him justice. Well done!

Thank you Loyd. Churchill had his faults (don’t we all?) but thank goodness we had him. A great man.

Seems this tent is even more forlorn than Steve thought.

Bit like my entry ................
