Thanks for the kind words Pauline, I have made a few improvments this morning, was in a hurry yesterday, as I was expecting overseas visitors.

This is really good. I love the kids messing the place. Paint on the screen, on the floor,... Is it young Steve going through the door?

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
the ledge over to the left was just made for sitting and since the lecture is held at the British Museum , we may as well bring some marbles in to demonstrate layers.

Well this was fun. Spent a long time working on this one and forgot to eat lunch or dinner until 7 pm! I'm not fortunate enough to have the vanishing point filter like those of you with CS2, but managed to do okay by making my own guide lines.

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
Alice that would be my eldest daughter coming in the door, and before anyone says she looks too pale, that's how she look!!! She looks so pale all the time. The other girl sitting in the chair with the hamburgar is my other daughter. The picture on the projector screen is from our Rememberance day celebrations. The 'painting' on the wall is actually their public school.

Thanks vibeke. It was tough getting that in. Not a heck of a lot of space to work with and I had to get the perspective right too. Given the width of the chalk board, for reality I realize the letters would have been much more squashed and impossible to read.

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
Seemsing I couldn't correct the lighting and shadow placement, I thought I would open the door, add a little Henry hoover in the hallway, and a plant on the Tutors Desk

Pauline - I won't comment on how pale your eldest looks 'cos what I find more disturbing is that she casts no shadow - spooky !!!

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
Well Glen, darn, why weren't you here proofing it for me. I knew something about her was bothering me and couldn't figure out what it was!!! For once my kids let me down and didn't point out the error!! Love your entry. Great job with making your door a cut a way! And Steve never did say "how" the door was supposed to be opened!!

Thanks Robyn! Yes it took me a long time!

The Little Henry vacuum cleaners are made by Numatic not Hoover.

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
Glen, I think the 2 people over to the left "leaning" on the books need something to make them look more 3 dimensional. They don't appear to be behind the books below them. It seems to me that if we can see the tops of the books at the right that we should be seeing a bit of the tops of the books that they are leaning on. The books at the right side of the picture are starting to look as if they may fall over. Great job with the rest of it.

Re: Contest 91: The lecture tour
I think the whole thing is an advertising 'cut-out' as the two people are 'Richard & Judy' whose show Steve was a guest on!

You're saved from another long and boring day when you remember you had a couple of 'Sooty & Sweep' puppets in the top drawer!
