Yup sure is Dave: here is my second attempt merging two tubes together. Hee-hee, I wonder how many mistakes Steve can spot: will it be one, or perhaps two--Hee-hee |

Bubblemint toothpaste had some very strange side effects. Having drawn around the teeth I now know why I never became a dentist! |

"Mummy, it wasn't my mess, the parrot did it! Honest!" Didn't think a tube of toothpaste could provide any fun. How wrong could I be. |

Very good GBK. How did you do the thread of the top bit so clearly?. And the toothpaste is very convincing as well as is the bend. Sophie |

Re: Contest 117: Squeeze the tube
Hi Sophie, The tapered section of the tube and the nozzle were both made from distorted copies of the cap. The thread was made from a rectangular selection of the cap which was then scaled so that it was a little longer than the width of the nozzle (I hope you understand that bit). This gives you a rectangular thread. Now use the rectangular marquee to select half of the thread then use the burn tool on a low setting to darken that half giving you the shadow. The advantage of doing this is that you keep all the original highlights from the cap. Now, on a layer mask, trim the corners off the rectangle and rotate the thread 5 degrees anti clockwise. Copy the thread twice and nudge the copies into place et voila! |

Re: Contest 117: Squeeze the tube
Looking again at my image I just realised that there should be 2 reflections of the tube to cover the reflection from the top surface of the glass shelf and also from the bottom surface - sorry Steve! |

Many thanks Wayne and Sophie. Sophie I think your parrot needs a grooming. A job for photoshop perhaps! |

Thanks Deborah. Too right. He came from the 2nd Ed disk and I was so pleased with other items in the pic that I didn't think to patch him up! And many thanks GBK for letting me know what you did. Have made a note. Sophie |

So, what ingredient does an all natural toothpaste use to make it taste sweet? |

I found this quite difficult, didn't really know what to do with it! I tried creating a toothpaste splat on a tiled surface.......Heh, my kids can do it but I couldn't with Photoshop. |
