Great ideas guys. A lot of fun. I couldn't come up with anything this week (Too busy + stressed at work = brain fade + vegetative state at home!)

Happy birthday Steve and good luck with the book launch.

Hey Neal, I heard Steve's new book is a scream.
Sorry I couldn't come out to play this week - too many other things to get done.

Happy Birthday Steve and good luck with the new book. I am afraid I didn't have time to produce an image this week and in the thinking time I did have I couldn't really get my thoughts around what to do anyway.

didn't think i'd have any time to do anything this week, but it's always fun to procrastinate on school work --- a little crude, but it's something...

Re: Contest 121: Launch time
The launch was a great success - despite the fact that I never managed to get a poster sorted out. But with all your suggestions, who knows...

Vibeke was first up the ladder with the bucket of wallpaper paste (these related intros are getting stupider each week) with a fine entry complete with turkeys. Great shadows, and a well montaged face into Santa's beard. The rip is perhaps a little large for the space it's been ripped from - and could really do with a shadow beneath it! Love the way the front turkey's tail overhangs the parapet, a nice touch.

A fun-packed entry from Babybiker - a really clever touch being the way the new poster is being pasted up over an old poster for Dad Stuff. Ingenious! And a stunning banner hanging over the front, complete with ties to hold it onto the railings (nice attention to detail, there). My age is a little off, though...

A most entertaining entry from jwhite, who depicts me ... er... stuffing a turkey, as it were. Hmm. I like the new flat screen poster, but shouldn't it be in perspective so it's flat on the face of the memorial behind? Looks like it's about to topple forwards! Your salary check's been cancelled.

A Harrods launch from 2bfree - and why not, indeed. A good stab at a night scene here, and it is tricky to do. A couple of suggestions: first, add some blue to the scene rather than just darkening it. And second, when you have visible lighting, make it shine out! A good dose of yellow behind those spotlights would really have brought this one to life!

A good gag from Eggbox - the cutout figure works particularly well here, the thickness of the cutout and the shading adding greatly to the effect. And I do like the fact that the missing n is waiting to be put up! Nice work, Ted.

I see james has been scouring Amazon for my books - although I can't say I remember having written the middle one. Still, who knows where I may turn next. A great spotlight effect - but the lamps themselves could be a little more blurry, to give the impression of glare. A great speeding truck in the second entry!

A cunningly reworked title from Ben Mills with a most entertaining anagram of Stuff the Turkey - damn, this is clever stuff! Reduced to 50p, though, eh? Hardly seems worth buying the ad space for...

A rare excursion into animation from Glen - in fact, I believe this is the first we've seen from him. Great neon - and I'd love to see a high res version of this one somewhere!

A work of stunning ingenuity from michael sinclair, who first shows us a curiously curved poster, then pulls back to show the poster wrapped around a rocket, and then pulls back again to show the rocket taking off. What a great launch! Some slihgtly awkward fitting in the third one, and shouldn't the guy be falling off by this stage? But a funny gag, well realised. Enjoyed it a lot!

A brilliant joke from Deborah Morley, who has the Grinch stealing Christmas. A truly fantastic ripping effect on the poster (I like the old one showing through beneath), lit perfectly from above, and fabulous flaky snow. I'd have added a dab of bright white in each of those spotlights, just to give a strong glare on the light source itself - but otherwise, brilliant.

A good selection of books from mguyer, with a good night colour behind. There's something a bit dodgy about the spotlights, though, Marty: i think perhaps the light beams should fade more quickly. And yes, yes, I know I said yellow was a good colour for lighting, but don't get carried away here!

When I first read the text in David Urquhart's post, I was perplexed - but then, right next to it, is a picture of a not-grouse with fun in a funnel, which of course makes the whole thing perfectly clear. Keep taking the tablets, David. Or, on second thoughts, perhaps you should stop taking them.

A great christmas scene from Jefferson, who's managed to work in not just holly, turkeys, gingerbread and candy canes, but also the cauldron and gherkin from earlier Challenges. And the book has now tripled in size - that must be a thousand pages! Only criticism: either get rid of the railings, or keep them - you can't have it both ways!

Lunch time, launch time, who cares? At least Whaler's school kids aren't eating turkey twizzlers...

A great poster from Toby - not only a good idea, but perfectly drawn spotlights. Now that's the sort of glare I've been banging on about this week! Good and bright, some streaks of lens flare in each one, they really look lit up. Perhaps you'd like to do us a mini tutorial on this, Toby, I'm sure other readers would like to see your technique.

Michael Sinclair's back, with a couple of rather bizarre balloon entries. A nice idea, but the balloon in the picture appears to be far behind the people shooting forwards. Tricky one, this.

A good entry from Steve Mac, with a particularly well realised 3D version of the book (you just need a hint of a spine on there, Steve). The man in the foreground looking up adds a much-needed human element to the image - a great touch!

A beautifully opened book from Neal (what? no title on the spine?) and a great sentiment. I think the estate of Edvard Munch might have copyright issues here, though...

What's this? Tom getting into animation as well? Now I've seen everything!

A fantastic turkey costume graces bluOrange's entry. A great turkey hat, too, and an effective night scene. When placing a background with such a regular pattern, though, be sure to make it line up with the poster! The easiest way here would be to use Free Transform to make each corner of the brickwork fit a corner of the poster: dragging up and out from the midpoint handles on each side would then scale it, but keep it in the right perspective.

Great work this week! Most entertaining!

Oh come on it works on so many levels, a turkey(which is clearly not a grouse) getting stuffed utilising a fun filled funnel...what more do you need.

OK, fair enough. You can stop/start taking the pills again, depending on which piece of advice you followed previously.
