Something so simple yet we (meaning I ) are blinded by the obvious refraction of images. Boy do I feel stupid. Awesome job you guys! I think I'll go turn in my pen tablet for a box of slightly used crayons. My apologies for such a lame set of entries. _________________ Steve Mac |

Outstanding is how I would put it Gordon, Toms bubbles are outstanding, I'm not too sure about the skulls on the wall though, lol. That kinda creeped me out. How do you do the color so vividly on the bubbles, Tom?? I need a lot of help on this. (of course I need a lot of help on everything.) Neil _________________ "I haven't failed.... I agree with the above. Tom your bubbles are sublime. I love the colours and the partial reflections from all over the room. The subtle makeover of the girl is also great. If you could explain how you created the bubbles I would be very grateful; after Friday of course! |

Tom, It's been said already, but great bubbles! They makes mine look dowdy and lifeless. It makes me want to have another go! You really have captured the shine and wetness. Well done! |

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
Thanks for the comments. I thought everyone liked skulls. I was using this tut as a starting point. But wandered off. I think I turned off the inner shadow. The shiney bubbles are not that complicated. Started with the clear sphere from the tut. I duped two sides of the background, flipped them. Warped and blended with layer masks. Dot highlight, upper left. Cresent highlight, lower right. Hackneyed window frame highlight. The color is a gradient fill layer, overlay mode. Before I try to make something from scratch in PS, I like to get photos of the thing and have them on my palette monitor for reference. |

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
I spent the last couple of hours re-vamping my bubbles (after closely studying Tom's work - I hope you don't mind, Tom) An improvement I think, though not in the same league. I get ready to post only to find Tom's provided a tutorial! Many thanks, Tom, it's great you're willing to share your techniques. I will give it a go sometime, but as for now, I've had enough of bubbles for a while! |
