A fine picture James, and that cow over the moon must have been drinking Red Bull. Nice one Nick. - If it's OK. with John Constable it's fine with me. dikidee's entry gave me the idea this week, with a little help from Samuel John Barnes so thanks to both of them. Ben. |

Being "Cowes Week" the main sailing event in the South of England" this theme is very timely. 
So here is the real meaning of Cowbouys, on westerns needed here

Ben & Nick I like both your paintings. I had also thought of using 'The Haywain' but went off in a completely different direction. James, I love the cow jumping over the moon. |

No, Nick, I'm a Nikon user I'm afraid. It's actually a Canon product shot of the 1ds Mk III which I do lust after, though. I used the Canon because, if I remember correctly, Steve is a Canon man. They are my arms, though! |

Thanks Gordon I've always used Canon and started digital with a 10D. I bought the 5D not long after it ws launched and have been very pleased with the results. The latest Nikon pro camera seems to have made great inroads into noise reduction and from what I've read it's giving the 1DS 111 a run for it's money, but for less money. Having invested in 'L' glass, I'm reluctant to change now, but the great advantage for Nikon users is that lenses bought years ago still work with the modern bodies, whereas my old FD lenses have to stay with my old AE1. Nothing spectacular this week, due to limited access to a computer. Photos of Cows taken at Manchester Cow Parade... If you ever get a chance to visit one of them, give yourself a good few days, and some decent walking shoes. I ended up with over 500 photos of plastic cows, and met some very interesting people on my travels. The postbox? That's just for Maja.
