Thanks Trevor,
The myster is that I could actually be wrong Joking only, you will find that even though Steve gives us a directive, he is used to us taking off in completely different directions.

Whoops, I realised I didn't read the brief properly and just went off on one!

I don't think anybody minds if we go off on one from time to time! Here's a case in point...

Very surreal Jota !
I likes it !!!

Nick is that ......Count Droculahhhh ?

Thanks Josephine.

I did'nt even think it was surreal!! .... but strange, yes, Dali was one of my fundamental influncial artists (he even wrote a book, which was really weird, but I can't forget it!!). Try Angela Carter. She stretches my imagination.

If I can complete the next 3rd image, I hope you find this even more surreal, and actually it should be funny. (The 1st failed).

This is the image, by Magritte, that it put me in mind of ...
I am a big fan of Angela Carter myself - The Magic Toyshop and the film of Company of Wolves being big favourites

Love it Bruce, so much going on. I'd be in distress too surrounded by that bunch.

Thanks, Nick. It seems like the Whitehaven neighborhood ain't what it used to be.

A bit of a variation on a Hitchcock theme...

Lovely work Anna, especially for somebody who doesn't watch much TV.

Thanks, Wayne. A thin smear of yellow and a thin smear of mint green across bronze letters gives a decent reflective look.

Re: Contest 225: Murder mystery
I love the artists like Magritte, so here I try, with a bit of wit, in his style. Thanks for pushing me to experiment in this surreal style again Josehine, and at the same time I go a brighter following Vibeke and others' lead.

BTW, if you've not read Olivers Sacks book "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat" I recommend it. "Ceci est ma femme".

I'm enjoying all your contributions. I wait to see more in anticipation.

Thanks, take it easy.
Trevor

PS my French is not good but as I understand, "Qui a volé mon argent" = who stole my money. (My comment on a contribution, to our global "credit crunch". Pain for us all ) Just be strong, maintain and time will heal it, thats something I can say........
