Hope Leslie,

Love your picture,

The penguin is supposed to be offering her a scarf. The idea is that it's so cold, even the penguins need to cover up. Maybe if I fix my technical problem, you'll be able to tell what article of clothing is involved, but I wasn't really sure the scarf looked like a scarf anyway.

No, I'm pretty sure you can't tell that's a scarf.

I can see now. Where are those mountains from? I'll not crique, leave that to Mr C and Lexus

The metal runners on the skates are in all three sequence shots: they don't show up against the lighter background skate-scrapes particularly well. And in case no one noticed I have extended her arms in one sequence

Famous first meetings: Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.

Probably deviated way off the plot here. Skating at 5,800m! Try to get back to it some time later.

She decided the air was not rarefied enough at 5,800m, or cold enough and decided to take another one more small step .......... Ouch!

Agree Bruce. This challenge has forced us to look at ice closely and it's quite amazing how one frozen mass can differ from another in terms of colour, texture and the way reflections are rendered. In some ice skating shots I looked at, there is sometimes very little, if any reflection at all.

Agree with that Nick. There is normally frost and snow on top.

But Nick, isn't Steve okay, the sea/river seems to have washed it away? Difficult one!

I'd like to show what an extra layer of blur and some ice shavings can do to create a sense of movement:
