Great work, with the building in the background, I took the easy way out, and used an other photo.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this weeks challenge was Edward Scissorhand. Ok Celia, stop your drooling

I was in the process of doing chess pieces....but I was beaten to it.

This virus has come back with a vengeance, so I'm still rough around the edges

Thanks Nick, Dave and Anna.
Excellent stuff from you guys too, as usual.
Michael, you should have posted your chess idea. It's always
good to see how others envision the same idea.

Neth.
define a pattern from one of the windows and part of the wall.
define another pattern from a selection from one of the bushes.
create two new layers above the original.
then use the pattern stamp tool to paint the new layers.
on the first new layer paint in some walls/windows to hide some of the bushes.
on the top layer paint in your design using the bushes pattern.
dodge and burn the top layer to create shadows.
try to create the patterns so that the joins are not obvious.- on my image there are bits of unattatched umbrella floating in the air which I missed, but no doubt Steve will comment upon.
As you know there will be lots of ways to achieve similar results many of them a great deal more elegant than mine.

Hi Neth welcome to the forum, do have a go you learn so much from trying the challanges and you only get constructive advice on this forum. I am sure ben will reply in the mean time I did a quicky took about five mins.
first copy picture to new layer ctrl j
use the clone stamp tool to exstend the building from right to left
make a second copy background and move this to the top of the layer stack
I used the type tool to add steve on top layer
them make sure your on the second copy of the background use the eraser tool to delete parts of the bush around the letters . hope this helps, Im sure someone will come with a better method
