Thank you Vibeke, Jota and Josephine.

I did add a few layers of paint as final touches while still trying to maintain the detail texture of the feathers from the source image.

Hindsight . . . the image needs a lot more work.
The personal challenge here was trying to remember how to do things using Photoshop.

A very tricky Challenge - had to resort to a bit of cheating! One of the big problems is that the feathers on black and white swans are quite different.

A sad reminder of two that we had at our home in Sussex. Here is a pic of their first winter with us. They nibbled away at the ice on the lake to keep a safe place for themselves during a tough winter. 18 months later they were both killed a few weeks apart, possibly fox or poachers.

Struggled with this so I was just going to submit the black swan and its reflection. However I have managed to change it to a sort of white swam so here it is!

My attempt: it was really difficult and still I am not satisfied.
