Cheers Steve! If you look closely in the bottom right there's a submerged face. It's a little too faint though. |

Yes, Steve, I agree. It was the choice of a big green fish with no real focal point to the picture, or a big brown fish, but not quite the right colour. I tossed a coin. _________________ "The problem is knowing when to stop" |

"the gold one seems to be floating in air, rather than submerged in the water, and it's hard to pin down exactly why. Is it just that the edges are too sharp? Or should the bottom be blending into the water more? " Thanks, Steve. I gave myself an hour to complete the challenge, usually it takes me many times longer, so I am pleased with your comment. I wasn't entirely happy with the golden fish but didn't know what to do. I have since lowered the opacity a smidgen and masked out a bit of the bottom of the fish. Do you reckon this is better? . ![]() _________________ Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails |

It is great to get such constructive feedback, thanks Steve
Blurred rod- you taught me about motion blur with the diablo thing, so I thought it might add drama to the rod and hands. Maybe I should have experimented with the direction of that and it may have been more effective. The partially submerged trolley taught me loads re creating and wave filter-distorting reflections, but I could have done better with my selection of some submerged bits too. The turd- you're right, it certainly doesn't work as photorealism and the spoonerisation of your title is but a weak pun. I really loved seeing what the pros here do, incredible guys! This is fun |
