Re: Challenge 851: The train carriage
Sorry more testing. I am having a most peculiar problem. I have been trying to reply to Josephine but every time I click the 'reply' button I get logged out. Clicking 'reply' on any of the other entries brings up the reply box just as expected. This occurs uniquely with Josephine's entry. This is truly bizarre.

Going do some resets and cache clearances and try with a different browser.

Problem cleared.

I have to confess I had to look it up. It is a gift. That being said you have blended them in beautifully. Your work is always so beautifully understated.

Excellent, Josephine, really convincing.

Re: Challenge 851: The train carriage
Another movie reference!

Josephine's remark about a "real gift" made me realise I had actually shot a movie scene myself that could fit perfectly. So I dug it out. From the Hindi movie 'Gandhi My Father" shot in 2005 ........ so I am taking Steve's carriage to India.

It is the true, and little known, story of Harilal Gandhi, the eldest son, a semi functional alcoholic estranged from and disowned by his father. Here he is saying goodbye to his mother at the railway station with the gift of a fruit.

It's not a very remarkable entry except that, because I photographed the source material as well as making the composite, I can actually say 'all my own work'.

Josephine - a perfect fit - very nice reproduction
David - most interesting - another good fit
Vibeke - looks great ( and I too use my iPhone 11 more than my expensive camera gear)
Loyd - that moose gets around
Steve - carrying on from the theme I had done in 2013 ( Poirot surfaces again)

Thank you both Vibeke and Michael. Here is the original frame I worked from. On the left is the camera set up for this shot.

Thank you Frank. This is great fun! But I think the railway company needs to fire it's track layers.

Re: Challenge 851: The train carriage
Lovely clean entry Vibeke. Interesting that there is no visible night time light source to work from in Steve's photo. Must have been a single lamp in the middle of the ceiling just out of picture.

Nice work David, and Josephine, but the one I liked the most was Vibeke's : so very natural. It just clicks, and I love it. I look forward to what the site owner has to say about it.

Hope everyone had a great Easter break. Fabulous entries so far. David, I enjoyed seeing your original image.

Agree completely with the phone cameras. They have come such a long way. I have barely touched my SLR and just recently I discovered the time lapse video feature on the phone. Been having a lot of fun with it. I'll post a video in the off topic section.

Thank you for your kind words Anna. With regard to your post I have added something to it I think you will appreciate.

As for this entry I am at a loss for words. You just go on and on getting better. I can't begin to imagine how much work must have gone into this. Loved every second!
