No I missed the address. Now I have tried it. "Safari can't find ...... " I checked out your link to the real thing. Wow! Now I understand your image even better. I have to say it takes my dislike of supermarket shopping one step further! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Everyone getting their technical game on this week! As for me ... Bevels? What bevels? Reflections? What reflections? Those who watch "What we do in the shadows" will know that Nadia has just opened a vampire nightclub ... _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Always a good giggle Jo! I loved the original movie! I didn't know it had been made into a series. I shall go look for it. Thanks for the heads up. Gordon. Finding the old tiled Sainsbury sign is a really nice touch, it fits perfectly, although I think the shelves on the left may be about to become part of one of those internet 'idiots at work' videos. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I struggled with this one and less than thrilled with the results but here it is. Well done to all who have contributed this week. David - the ballet school is perfect for this challenge. http://vimeo.com/907672963 _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

Very well done, David, even if her leg needs to swing out a bit more. |

Thanks Anna. I think your's is the first time I have ever seen PS's Stained Glass filter actually used! This week is producing some very interesting results. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 989: The supermarket refit
Well Michael your remarks kept niggling at me. There is a real problem with the right hand girl and it lies in the fact that I have used a photo taken from about waist level and inserted it into Steve's taken from his eye level. It is this that has such a radical effect on the angle of the reflected leg. So I have taken the odd step of modifying a real reflection to make it look 'real'. I have also raised the angle of her head very slightly. The result would definitely seem to justify your sharp eye! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Upon reflection (ooof) I could probably have straightened her spine a bit too ....... but enough's enough. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

The TV series is even funnier that the film - try and watch it from the beginning if you can as it establishes the characters and then develops them. It’s rather saucy though so be warned! _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Good work Gordon, and Anna Superlative David Apart from that not bad. Windows were done at 24% opacity. Each of the 60 frames need several adjustments--very time-consuming. |

Re: Challenge 989: The supermarket refit
Thank you for your compliment Micheal. I must confess I've been wondering what you would do this. That's very unexpected! Nice lateral thinking. Given the period feel of the woodwork should there perhaps be an iceberg on the horizon? _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 989: The supermarket refit
Micheal (Mariner) I love the way you have introduced two layers to your image in the glass - interior and exterior. However I am puzzled quite how to interpret. The window shadows on the ground repeating in front and behind the woodwork would imply that we are seeing a reflection and not through a window. The sunlight direction reinforces this as, if it were not a reflection, then the foreground sun direction and background sun direction would be in direct conflict. So a mirror seems the inevitable conclusion. However, if that is the case I think we should see the reflection of the back of the closing down sign. Either way it's beautifully done ....... and great bevels! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 989: The supermarket refit
Thank you David. I too had big problems with the mirror and floor reflections and finally gave up. Nothing I tried looked quite right. Too late now. Like you, I have had enough of this one. Glad you liked the bevels. |

Re: Challenge 989: The supermarket refit
You shouldn't be down Michael. All that's missing is the back of the sign. All the other reflections are, to my eye, absolutely spot on. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
