Re: Challenge 1025: Seahenge
First to visit Seahenge this week was lwc, with a fun homage to the Flintstones. Lots of nice movement on those toy characters – I particularly like Dino’s neck. The soft-focus blending into the stone age scene works especially well, and the sacrificial skeleton is a good detail.

A truly bizarre set of wooden statues from Ben Boardman, and it’s hard to believe they could be part of a military memorial (but thanks for the close-up). They fit perfectly around the tree in that coastal setting, although I think DavidMac would want to have a few words about the lighting.

An intriguing anthropomorphism from michael sinclair, who has turned the tree into a humanoid tree monster. Very nicely done, with a good side lighting effect and even an animated shadow. I like this a lot. I also prefer the original to the second entry, although I can see the appeal of this particular tree.

I enjoyed DavidMac's wooden denture, with the tree as a centrepiece in this altogether gruesome piece of furniture. The new wallpaper is a perfect fit.

A fun entry from GKB, ingeniously blending a real tree with the upside down stump. A good idea, neatly expressed – although I’m not altogether sure about your stone lettering.

A whole newspaper from Ant Snell, with a lengthy and entertaining description restoration of the recently felled Sycamore Gap tree. Plenty of arboreal puns here, and a fun layout. You’re right about my lack of horticultural expertise, and I shall certainly be careful with my next museum visit!

A collection of upturned trees from tooquilos, forming a mystic stone circle. I like the sense of mystery here. A great title for the animated version, with a haunting soundtrack, and a beautifully lit sacrifice scene. But I think you missed a trick here: put the monks, the front trees and the back trees on separate 3D layers in After Effects, so that they move apart as you zoom in.

I laughed out loud at Mariner's critter emerging from the sea – something about the expression on that minimal face that really tickled me. And so far from your usual style!

A forlorn-looking caveman from Frank, complete with skeletal remains on the upturned tree. Beautiful lighting in the animated version, with impressive fire and smoke effects. That background really moves in a disturbing way! Great choice of soundtrack.

Re: Challenge 1025: Seahenge
Thanks Steve , I waved the background somewhat
to emphasize the turmoil associated with global warming.
Don't know if I'll play this upcoming week - wife and I just came down with COVID 19.
