Non-zoom...lol. For some fixed is also known as a 'prime' lens.

Yes. That's what we call them in movie. I think the term came into being as a distinguishing term with the introduction of zooms. Before then lenses were simply lenses.

Just to confuse matters, in recent years a number of cine lenses have been produced called Variable Primes. These have much more limited range than a true zoom. For 35mm movie film, and the equivalent size of CCD, Zeiss make three: 16-30mm, 29-60mm and 55-105mm. Their aperture is T2.2 which is significantly faster than zooms and they can focus down to 2'3" which is closer than most zooms. They have less complex optics and therefore much better quality than zooms. They are not designed to be 'zoomed' they are a substitute for primes requiring less physical lens changes and the opportunity of focal lengths in between the standard fixed lenses.

Now you can impress your friends in the trivia stakes.

Number two gets my vote.

Number one is odd. If you look closely, one set of horses is bobbing up and down and the other seems to be growing taller and shorter.

And Moses said unto David here is The eleventh commandment: Though shall not look too closely!

Actually, it was intentional to give it that type of effect of movement: maybe too severe?

My last little kick. More pure silliness.

You couldn't invent these people .............. reality outdoes imagination.

Just a very quick one this week, I am off on a road trip in camper so will probably not be able to play for a few weeks.
