Re: Challenge 1096: High dive
I was bored and ran the image through one of the free online coloriizing sites and got this, I assume it's AI. --- Certainly not to be considered an entry.

Re: Challenge 1096: High dive
First to dive in this week was dwindt, with a splendid array of three-dimensional cartoon ducks. I don’t recognise the musclebound critter on the top. Glad to see you’ve added the reflection of Huey (or Louie, or maybe Dewey). I like the fox version, and congratulations on finding Donald Duck in a striped swim suit. But how does No Charge go with $10 entrance? The cruise ship works well, with the twinkly lights on the diving board, but the daytime version is a real tour de force. A perfect fit. A picture postcard from Ant Snell, with a diver rather precariously leaping into a synchronised swimming team. I like the new location, but there’s something odd about the perspective: with the diving board so far in the foreground, shouldn’t the diver appear a lot larger than the swimmers? There’s something rather joyful about Flamingoland, and the mirrored platform works very well. I particularly like the red bridge, and the subtle reflection. It’s the curse of the selfie from lwc, with the quintet of women studiously ignoring the acrobatics behind them. A good clean-up job on the sides of the structure. Is the diver balancing on one hand? I see it’s a women-only board in the second entry, and they do populate the scene rather well. The colorized version is surprisingly good. A glorious homage to Leni Riefenstahl from DavidMac, with the board fitting perfectly into its new environment. Most impressive of all, for me, are the four gymnasts on the top board: the angle is exactly right. Excellent work. A beautifully restored diving board from Mariner, and I particularly like the way you’ve brought the sun out with those subtle shadows. The flag rather jumps out, though, looking too graphic in this context: as the board itself is almost certainly white, you should take this as the brightest the white of the flag can be. I like the otters. Not only a multi-level duck house from Frank, but the whole thing rotated towards us. Expertly done, with lots of great detail. The honeymoon suite seems a little over-populated. Fireworks from tooquilos, with the structure being taken over by dancers in what appears to be a Roman amphitheatre. Great to see it brought to life in the animated version – I like the reflections of the fireworks. Many thanks, Ant, for the original image. |

The style does yes (it's what prompted the image) but the perspective doesn't. I managed to trick this so it appears to fit when that is not really the case. It was a real struggle.
Pure chance. I couldn't believe my luck when I found them! They are genuine Leni. I think the fact that they fit so well is one of the things that psychologically helps 'blur' one's perception of the lesser fit of the board. Thanks Ant for the image it proved to be an interesting one to do. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1096: High dive
Thank you Steve. That's Scrooge McDuck by the dollar sign. $10 to use his bridge, everything else for free. He found a loophole to make a buck, as always. Donald has just jumped off the high platform. Huey, Dewey, and Louie, being Scrooges' nephews, also found a loophole and gained access to the diving platform via the pond. Launchpad McQuack and his brother are the buffed-up ducks! _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

Thanks Steve, I used that new 3D feature in Beta to rotate it - needed a bit of tweaking afterwards |
