Interesting. He must have a good budget!! That's a huge undertaking. Ben, your leaf technique is very, very clever! I am glad you published it as a graphic as it means I could download and keep in my photoshop techniques file. Definitely one to investigate. I'm wondering what other applications it might have. Before Mariner researches it and tells me it’s wrong, this is a shameless re-write of history. According to Wikipedia, Emmeline Pankhurst was among approximately 30 suffragettes reported to have climbed inside the tree around 1912. I have dated it in November to justify the leaflessness. (Not in my Oxford dictionary but, according to Duck AI, a legitimate word.) This is apparently true, but the rest is pure invention. There were no arrests or disturbance. There are no photographs. If any photographers were present their pictures have not survived. The whole thing is my invention. The picture of Ms. Pankhurst being carried off is real but was taken on another occasion at Buckingham Palace. 
Initially I put a nice newspaper halftone screen on this but removed it again because it has to be viewed at 100% to avoid moiré patterns. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I have never seen a minion movie, but the characters are so expressive that they are great fun to work with. Most of my entries are just stuff and nonsense anyway, so they fit right in.

Well done everybody. I've been doing extensive research on Comfyui local ai workflows to assist in taking my creativity that much further. So, this is an ai image that has been manipulated and tweaked in PS. Not what I'm aiming for but I was there, so I prompted an ai image with a 3D copy (Trellis3d) of The Great Tree and this is almost what I got. I corrected where I had to in PS. David, 1 of the workflows I've been setting up is for consistent characters. Having set-up Flux 2 workflow for generating character sheets for LTX2.3 lip-sync and audio videos, I remembered a photo you had posted of your mom. I can't judge the accuracy of the restore but you can. I posted an image of the restored pic of your mom. I suppose everything living has to die eventually, but gosh, it saddened me to learn about this tree. Ben, that's a great tutorial. Initially, I was going to create an oak leaf brush and paint the leaves on but it was easier to superimpose them on the branches

Sorry David, for not replying earlier (we have been away for a few days in the van), the thingy in the sky is supposed to be a bird of pry (hawk or falcon) but I can see that it’s not altogether clear. On another note: I couldn’t help but think of you while we were away, we were walking in the peak district. At this time of year the villages are famous for well dressing and scarecrow displays. I spotted this on in someone’s garden. I good campaign that stands the test of time. Cheers  |
