Oh, Maiden your entry is great. Love the concept with the image composite. How original! Poor little worm with the bulging eyes.

Well, it's the end of another contest - and, as before, the standard of both photomontage and invention has been incredibly high.

Top marks to Ryan and Russ, for noticing the strange perspective on the original: the highest point on the rim of the glass is the nearest edge to us, not the furthest (we're looking up at it from below). The clue was there in the horizontal grouting line on the tiles, which shows the perspective. Also, great entries from you both - Russ, did you really place all those bubbles by hand? Or have you devised a new bubble brush I ought to know about?

Daz, Tabitha, itsjustaname - good to see new faces here. Nicely inventive entries - the cork was a great addition, Daz, except its transition through the water line should be clearer. Liked the enthusiam of your entry, itsjustaname, although the fish in the middle could do with being more inside the glass! And I'm not sure water really behaves that way...

Extra, almost hidden elements are the details that raelly make montages work. Trinity, you could damage my spotless reputation with insinuations like that! Really nice work, though: the refraction of the hat through the glass stem and the shadow of the ribbon are perfect. Abraham, I liked the storminess of your entry! The blurred leaping fish at the top works well, and the beach ball is a nice subtle touch. Russ, again - loved the ice cubes and the expression! Maiden, your fishing line and ripples are lovely, and the worm is a great touch. Colour of the water works really well, too.

Kathryn, your entry is stunning - a really convincing piece of work, great refractive distortion. Where did you get that fish from, though? It's not the one I supplied! Paul, I'm still not sure how you made that fish so menacing. Looks like piscatorial revenge for Trinity's entry!

Good to see there are still purists out there, too: Tweaknik, you followed the instructions precisely and produced a perfect straight montage. Note the extra refraction through the water, everyone! That's really what it's all about. And Drew, a nicely subverted image: your fish breaks the water surface really well (except see what I said at the top about the perspective).

Really great work this week - thanks to all for having a go. Ready for another?

I had my doubts about the perspective, I thought it was as you said but so many people had done it the other way, I figured it was my eyesight

Hi! New to this site and a very late entry on this challenge. I'm on the road and not much time to play!
