Steve Mac. May I call you Steve?

Reference your animation. I am fascinated by the slow and smooth manor in which your bubble expands. Try as I may, my efforts to create this effect are to no avail. Could it be that Photoshop is not the application used?

As Friedrich Nietzsche might have said had he been a bit mad
"She who blows bubbles might take care lest she thereby become a bubble."

My animation quality deterioated to a point that it posterized, and I don't know why this is so, so here are the "stills"

Great stuff as usual but I'm still frustrated by seeing neither Becky's image nor avatar. I can see Steve Mac's, James' and Michael's but not Becky's. Why?

Hi Eggbox, I can seee Maiden's avatar, but I can't see Ben's. Strange. I'll try a computer at work.

I hadn't thought about it before but I can't see Marty's, Neal's or Tank 172's AVATAR.
There be gremlins about.

Neal does your wife share chilli recipes with mine? Nice flames.
Chris I like the way your bubble shapes blend together like that.

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
Hey James. I used pS first to make the layers I wanted and then used Image Ready. It's not as smooth as I wanted it but I know how to fix it.

I made the larger bubble first, copied it to a new layer and then used the free transform tool to size it down. Before I resized it I created an action to record how much I resized it and also copied to a new layer which was more consistant than just trying to resize it by guessing. I did have to do a little tweeking but it was a lot easier than doing each layer individually. You can adjust each copy just a little and let the action do all the work.

Does any of that make sense? Hope it helps.

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
Well, Steve Mac may have failed to recover the sofa, but he's certainly managed to downgrade the entire room. All the new props fit perfectly within their space, with excellent perspective and shading; the cracks on the wall are beautifully drawn, and the addition of the egg from the first ever Friday Challenge is a very neat touch. This is faultless work, Steve - congratulations, it's an excellent job. And one which certainly earns you a title. I think that, for this week's entry, it really has to be Grunge Genie!

Since last week when Steve graced you with the wonderful new title. Wear it with Honor!

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
I forgot just how much fun I had as a kid blowing bubbles so I had to blow just a few more.
Steve this was more fun than I thought it was going to be. Excellent work from everyone.

Re: Contest 130: Forever blowing bubbles
Some really gorgeous entries from lots of you this week with lots of bubbles interracting. Mine is quite spartan by comparison I am afraid.
