Joe, I find it absolutly intertaining, I like the diving board.

David, the olympic ring toss building is great.

Nothing to forgive, I'm flattered. Had thought of setting them spinning, but I was too lazy. But the week is still young.

Probably won't have time to animate this this week so I'll just have to post the static logo.

My 1st try as well, don't know if it will work. Is there a way to preview a gif after you have altered it/downsized it for the web?

Well however 1990's it worked.
A bit like if a branch drops in a forest and there is no-one to hear it, does it make a sound? Do all these animations keep on working when no-one is watching?!

Yeah.... I was wondering about that.... And the light in the fridge? Is it on when the door is closed? Ah the mysteries of life...

I did find time to do the animation after all! I've never needed to do a gif animation before so this is my first ever. Now that I know what I did wrong hopefully the next one will be better.

Gordon.

You've got me guesing! What did you do wrong? Looks good to me

I have used the Tweening tool, but not in the manor you indicated, the effect is quite interesting.
We learn from each other. Thank you.

Re: Contest 150: London 2012
Hi James,
As it was my first gif I didn't quite know how much 'tweening' to use. I reckon it would look a bit better with a couple of extra frames for each stage of animation.

I would probably also put in some movement. Instead of the 'fade-in' I had been trying to figure out how to do a wipe transition from left to right with the 'Thames ribbon' that runs through the 2012 but had too many other things to get on with so I gave up on that one.

David, I think your rings on the Gerkin is brilliantly conceived and expertly crafted.

There are some great animations here, well done all.

David, you've provided me with another one of those "I wish I'd thought of that!" moments. Brilliant.

I Just had to get into the animation too, not as smooth as I had wished. Had to reduce the clours too. Larger version here.

Sorry this is so lame.
I stole the Mac's poof animation.

I heard the logo was causing seizures.

EDIT;
I added a pause at the end (see my next post)

David, I love your animation, but I was referring to David Asch's rings on the gherkin!

Vern, yours is great, too. So clever.

Vicho, Wayne, Deborah ... thankyou. I did it directly in Photoshop CS2 which has the Imageready animation functions.

Very nice Vern. I reckon that we HTCIP members should be getting that £400K!
