Lovely work Anna, When you say from scratch, did you create those beautiful jewels too?

Gordon, what are you doing skiing in the Dolomites, I thought you were working in Sweden?

Thanks Vibeke

Most of the work on the card was created by a variety of brushes, including the gems. And then using Hue/Saturation to change colours. The red gem in the corners, I made through a series of fumbles lol

The brassy/gold border was done with a clipping mask. Each side was created seperately. It was only at the end that it occurred to me that I could of copied and flipped it

Re: Contest 181: A speedy recovery
Many thanks for all your good wishes. They do seem to be doing the trick - I'm out of hospital now, having spent 12 days being fiddled with, prodded and tested, and eventually treated with immunoglobulin from the blood of 1000 generous American donors. Thanks, all of you.

Turns out I had a condition called Guillain Barre Syndrome, which meant I was unable to use my hands or legs. About 90% recovered now, although typing still rather slow. So if you don't mind, I won't do the usual write up this week - just to say that, collectively, you've cheered me up a great deal. I'll try to write up last week's Challenge when I can.

Thanks again for your concern

Steve
