Too much Bull in my first image. Why is it that our entries look so much worse, once they have been uploaded?

Not just me then

Vibeke and Josephine,
I wholeheartedly agree with that observation about the difference between image in PS and then on the internet. But I love the size of the bull there in this case Vibeke.

Have you tried looking at your image on the web via your default browser in the 'Save for Web' dialog box? You can launch your jpeg/gif etc into the browser of your choice to see how it looks before you save it. I find it quite helpful and often correct images after seeing them this way. I tend to make slightly less mistakes (never perfection sadly!) using it.

Thanks for that - I don't actually use the save for web function - perhaps I should start ...

So much humour this week, I can't stop chuckling.

Vibeke, that's one hell of a scary bull.

Dejá_vu,

Your entry is very nicely composed, and it is very entertaining. Bienvenido de Nuevo!

With my limited knowledge of Kanji (Chinese alfabet), I can see that you have the word "Ninja" as your avatar image. Are you a Ninja (practicing Ninjutsu)?

Hi Dan.

Thanks a lot for your welcome. I was staring at all this wonderful works you all post here and even don't dare to write anything because I feel like "new kid on the block"

As usual, my entry looked better two days ago and now I see some perspectives measuring mistakes and so but thanks again for your comment about it. I'm glad you liked it and better if did amuse you.

And finally, yes, the hole kanji is interpretated literally as "perseverance of man over the sword" what is the leit motiv of the ninja. To perseverate over all things and tribulations, even over the power of the sword, not to love the war but to avoid it with patient, respect for every living being, and oneself. The man controls the sword, not opposite.

I was learning nin-jut-su over several years (and several years ago), but now I'm a "ex" student, because of a shoulder injury (skating... isn't ironic?).

Thanks a lot for greeting in my lang. I know it's not easy to speak a foreing language... I'm still trying to properly use yours, hahaha..

Hello everyone and thanks for welcoming me to the forum! As I was browsing through this topic, I saw a lot of creative entries and my hands just itched to create one of my own

Re: Challenge 322: Sign of the times
Have been fiddling with my Sharp Edges sign and 'improved' it and just discovered I can't sneak it in over the old one by modifying the address!

I can delete my image but not change it. Could this be made a possibility Steve? It might save a lot of space on the web for you.

I'm happy to say Helen your 'itch to create your own' is shared with all of us and it is that 'itch' which drives continual improvements.

Well, this is the real spirit of a déjŕ vu, I guess

Sorry but, despite I've tried hard, I'm not able to translate the las phrase:

So I'm afraid that I'm loosing a important part of the meaning of your comment.

BTW. Helen S, welcome to the forum. I'm "new" too, but it's not a reason to not be polite, is it?

Greetings from Spain.

'I'll get me coat' means:

I apologise for my dreadful humour, and recognising how bad it is, I’ll put on my coat and leave.

It’s a phrase from a TV sketch show:

Helen, I loved your Halloween image.

Oh, sorry. Is my fault. I still don't know enough english to make this kind of expressions. I was refering to the fact that I feel like a newbee here, but my shyness should not be an impediment to be educated and properly greet you.

Sorry for the mess. As I've said, my english is still very poor.
