Good work from puffin31939, who has placed the temple and accompanying text into a hardback book. I like the realism of this, except I'd far prefer to see the temple unrotated - I can't think of many books where you have to turn the page to view a picture. Especially, since it would have been easy to crop the shot to a portrait orientation. Glad to see those fullmontage readymades are proving useful!

Thanks for your comments, Steve. I put the picture that way round as it seemed too small in portrait to see the detail. I hadn't thought of the problem of rotating the book. Something to bear in mind for the future.

I was a little confused by the violence of Daniel's entry, with its scantily-clad maiden being attacked by two equally undressed sword-wielding aggressors. But then I took another look at the inspiration, and it all started to make much more sense - even down to the transparency of the clothing (although I would argue that in the original the figure on the right is clearly, um, male). Great flames, but shouldn't all that fire illuminate the monument a little more? And I'd really like to see more expression on the faces of the Poser figures!

Thanks for your comments Steve. It was very difficult to judge whether the figure on the right is a male or a female! I just had to make a choice! I am currently learning how to make custom morphs, so soon I will be able to make more expressions ...

Better late then never - and a fantastic image, Tissana! Beautiful colouring and arrangement. Just one thing: the monument should have a reflection in the water in front it it!

A real nightmarish vision from sutex - but when you say three different photos, surely you mean four? Either way, it's a very powerful and disturbing image. Beautiful lighting.

Thanks Steve. You're quite right about the modern pieces of farm equipment, so I tryed to disguising it a bit, in the second entry, substituting the tires by the wood wheels. Even so not so convincing, but I tryed ! The house at backward also, doesn't let me to cheat so much! That's it Steve, I didn't achived a so great regression in time !
Next time, please, try something more modern, I'm an old guy,but not so !

Thanks Steve, Still learning to judge these shadows. I didn't even think about the other light in the room diffusing the shadow. A lesson learned. I do find myself studing real life scenes all the time now. The lighting, shadows, and reflections and how they relate to the objects around them. Hopefully one day I will master some of these things.

Re: Challenge 346: The Nereid Monument
Thanks again Steve.
I did change the perspective of the original, but maybe got too carried away with the recycled masonry blocks!.
Your comments correct. Got too fascinated with Homer's..oral story-telling, err drifted off brief..

"Sunglasses?" I don't know what the Sirens sound like, (just some sailing encounters with rocks off West Coast of Ireland, and you'd never hear them)...
so as a loose metaphor for sound vs sight, thought of Medusa. You never want to look into her eyes
.... sunglasses is funny . Maybe I saved FC'ers her stony stare by putting on sunglasses(?)
But really if you look into someone's eyes (iris black) you see something, ... well.... enough from here.... Also a cliché I guess.

Thank you Steve.

The golden statue is actually the Goddess Athena. It’s a replica of the one that was originally in the Parthenon. The replica was created about 20 years ago in Nashville.

Re: Challenge 346: The Nereid Monument
Hi Steve, thanks for you comments. I have now downloaded Lego creator software so will have a play and see if I can reproduce the monument in perspective. I did try and play around with angles and perspectives on the flat image I created but decided to stick with the front projection as I had spent a good deal of time already and I thought it was quite cute. As a learning experience producing the whole image 100% PS was really interesting and made me think far more about the various tools and techniques available and .... I am now very familiar with the grid and rulers. Cheers Vern

You are right Steve, same for the character in the middle actually. However they both seem to have quite large breasts as well! Hormonal disorder??!! 
