What ... and ruin a perfectly good paint job?
I had thought I would create a final image of it being driven across Westminster Bridge in the London - Brighton Rally but other people had claim on my time. This was a really fun Challenge with several really good interpretations. Well done everyone and Happy Easter. _________________ You're never too old to learn something stupid. |

Thanks Steve - a very enjoyable challenge. I played around with various paint techniques, but the variety of colours and shades proved a bridge too far. I'd guess the answer here is to apply a solid colour and then add the reflections / lines etc, which Deb seems to have achieved very successfully. My approach was to find a new car and here she is. I changed the colour though as it seemed more in keeping with the range you would have seen in the 60's. Eva - I am astonished by your image. Please tell us how you achieved this. Nick ![]() |

Thanks for the feedback this week Steve (and all the other weeks come to that) always very constructive. I will try the new save technique this week. Easy when you know how, the trouble I find is that Photoshop has so many hidden menus I often can’t see wood for trees. Just when you think you are starting to get to grips with it, I see the beta CS6 is out! Is it worth a look do you think? Have a good Easter, Cheers Ant. |

OK I got it. It took a while to confirm how you did it but I got it. That content-aware turnround plug-in is excellent. So do you think Adobe will adopt it in CS7? _________________ Only one shopping day left until tomorrow! |

Thanks Steve helpful comments previously-sunk car needs to be lower in opacity, and perhaps moved so it doesn't look so much like a reflection of the original. #failed reflection was sposed to have been the old car reflecteds a porshe i gave old car new rim, |

Well I feel I must interrupt the Easter egg hunt and take a minute to tell everyone about the amazing content-aware turnaround plug-in. Or all the other suggestions. I'm honoured people thought me capable of doing all this in photoshop! The clue is being a North Londoner. I know Camden Town pretty well as I lived there for many years. I know where this car lives and when it made its guest appearance on the Friday Challenge I thought some extra pictures from different angles might come in handy. So yes, of course I went and took some pics. Wasn' t me who put them on flickr, though. The only bit of photoshop was to comp the two cars together, applying a reflection of the left car on the right one etc. Happy Easter everyone! ![]() |

Thank you so much Steve. As a photo retoucher, currently among the ranks of America's unemployed, I am honored (or honoured, as you might say) to accept my new title of "Bodywork Boss". Unemployment does offer more time for the Friday Challenge! And I just noticed that you used my banner as well, I'm so tickled! Thanks again. |

Well, I have to say, I'm hugely relieved. I'd spent much of the morning trying to work out how you did this - never occurred to me you'd done the ultimate cheat! Clever. |

Thanks Eva When I saw the image and mindful of your knowledge of London, I suspected there was mischievous play at work. However, like Steve, I had flicked back and forth for some time trying to retain my sanity, what was left of it. Well done you! Nick |

Thanks Steve -- yes it was a simple montage but the old car looked perfect for the mobile crusher - they were actually crushing cars ( and other metal) to be trucked and boated out of Labrador. And yes Eager Beaver is good -- a step up from some names I've earned in the past. Frank Some fine work this week |
