Somehow I was sure that, like me, you would have loved them. I found this one very satisfying to do. Glad you like it.

........ the full detail of me with horns, glowing eyes and, curiously, vampire fangs – didn’t know when to stop?

Yes it looks comedic and a bit silly, but then that sort of fits. If you look at devil images they almost all feature an open mouth full of vicious pointed teeth and fangs. I really wanted to do this and spent a lot of time playing with it. The problem is that transformation to this extent tends to change the face to a point where recognition is destroyed. This was my problem here. I could do all sorts of lovely invisible seamless blends full of dodgy railings but I couldn't preserve the underlying Steve.

(For non Brits "dodgy railings" is fairly obscure British slang from my younger days. I don't think youngsters today would probably understand it. It means 'bad teeth'.)

And using generative fill for background extension is, I think, a perfectly legitimate use of the technology. It’s something I’ve taken to using a lot, as it works well and saves hours of tedious cloning.

I am becoming much more pragmatic about it as a tool, but I dislike using it to 'create' for me. It makes feel as if I am being patronised. Of course, where the line gets drawn is very grey and indefinite.

I think it was more of a reluctance to re-post.
