Background colour as your transparancy matte which is #D1DEEC - although whilst displayed in the Thread it may not match as the background colour is rotated between #EEE5F7 and #D1DEEC it will display on the main background prefectly. I hope that's helpful.

Becky.

Spotted your deliberate mistake -

#D1DEEC is the blue colour in the "select a forum" drop-down menu box.
The two alternating colours are #F0F7FF and #EEE5F7.

I was a bit uncertain whether or not to post this with everyone being so ultra-polite to each other this week. Sorry to be a nit-picker,

Ben.

No problem Ben - Thanks for sorting that out I was trying to find the colours via the source code but it's a bit hard to see which background colour links to which bit.

I have to say there are some astonishingly good entries this week, a really wide gamut of talents on display and everyone superb and unique.

Vibeke, I love your colourful animation nicely optimised too - there are some white artifacts that remain after the word 'Cheat' disappears I suspect that you have chosen to use White as your Transparency Matte Colour - You could change it to "None" but that might make the edges of the text jagged and ugly so the better option would be to use the Forum's Background colour as your transparancy matte which is #D1DEEC - although whilst displayed in the Thread it may not match as the background colour is rotated between #EEE5F7 and #D1DEEC it will display on the main background prefectly. I hope that's helpful.

Thanks Becky, I will have a look at that, also looking at it now, the 'cheat 'disappearing to fast, it was supposed to look like it was being wiped out.

Hopefully I got rid of the artifacts. Might change the love to hate though. For some reason I was able to save it at a much higher quality and size. Which is great, I just wish I knew why.

That's lovely Vibeke - I think you were able to save on file size because in the first there was some pixel shimmer which might have been the product of the transparent background not really sure.

But what I mean by shimmer is that some of the pixels would change colour over the course of the animation and that's more data for the gif to record - but whatever you did different it's certainly worked the colours remain constant the text is clear and crisp and it is beautifully animated, I would be proud of that animation if it was one of mine.

Anna, that’s a real treat. Magical.

Dare I say, the small text is blending with the background, perhaps a different colour!

Hey small question Steve... i KNOW i won't have the time to do my banner this week... to much work on my research paper, would it be possible to submit it later (with no review on your part of course but a possible integration in the "reload banner" database") ?

Thanks

Swade

Thank you everyone. There was a lot of global arm twisting going on this week LOL..but yea it feels good doing what I love doing.

James, I know what you mean with the text on the left. I played around with various colours and fonts but kept going back to that one. Even still, Im not entirely happy with it. Later tonight, Ill have another stab at it.

Anna
