Thank you for your comments Steve! I didnt have any problems choosing that particular soundtrack, it was the most obvious choice! ![]() _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Thanks Steve. A girlfriend from many years ago gave me Snoopy in a flying suit and he has been sitting there all this time waiting for his photograph to be taken for a Friday challenge. _________________ Why isn't 'phonetic' spelled the way it sounds? |

Thanks Steve In did not realise that pilots sit in the rear seat. Seems rather silly to me if there is a perfectly good front seat to occupy, but there must be a good reason. If you look closely you will see that I brightened the instruments slightly, but like you was not sure if these would have been lit. I'll make a point of discussing detail with Gordon before embarking on further aviation related challenges. Nick |

I agree, it does seem bizarre. Gordon? Care to enlighten us? |

I believe they sit in the rear seat so they can watch over during fly tutition having a trainee behind the pilot is pretty precarious. |

Re: Challenge 270: sky fighters
Basically it comes down to keeping the Centre of Gravity in the correct position. If the pilot flies solo from the front seat the C of G would be rather farther forward than is desirable. This means that, on landing, it can be difficult to get the tail down to a 'three-point' attitude as the aircraft runs out of elevator authority. Strange as it may seem the view is actually better from the back seat. This often led to problems for some of my pilots when I used Tiger Moths or Piper Cubs as camera platforms as I needed the better angles of view from the rear seat. They would then have to fly from the front seat which they were not used to. On a couple of occasions I ended up doing the landing from the back seat after a shoot because it was easier that way. _________________ Why is there only one body to investigate Monopolies ? |

Thanks for the explanation, Gordon - makes sense to me. Although the idea of you landing a plane while photographing yourself doing so does fill me with horror! |

Cameras all tucked away safely somewhere where they wouldn't jam the controls. Life expectancy increases markedly that way! _________________ If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you ever tried. |

Thanks Steve, for your comments !About the propeller I must thank to Gordon ! I had thought about the size of the pilot, althought I was more concerned about his position ! Hard to find one who fits well, I saw another people complaining about the same ! Maybe, itīs time to learn how to use the push-left tool inside lyquify filter ! Can you provide some tips for us ?
