Re: Challenge 345: Space suit
Steve, thanks for the appraisal. You are right regarding the pits ... I was trying to show the spaceman inverted and his ship (reflected) who had been drifting through space together after some unknown accident and had introduced pitting and discolouration on the hard surfaces of his suit to try and convey that he had passed through a shower of tiny debris at some point. I enjoyed doing this one after a long hiatus. Cheers Vern

Yes you read it in right way and I am glad that it worked.

Thank you Steve.

Ah, Steve. not a romantic at heart then.

I was going for the film Ghost, hence the Unchained Melody lyrics. It was one of the those, only works if you know the reference:

Thanks Steve, I was going to put in some grass to anchor it but decided that was a bit too serfisticated - Sorry about the sneeze, I hope no-one catches anything ...

A tasteful DVD box from puffin31939, with a cool reflection and a very fine choice of typeface. It's all so nicely achieved I'm reluctant to point out the misspelling of 'video' at the bottom, but I can't overlook these things...

Aaah! Attention to detail - never spotted that. Mind you when you buy dodgy videos in the pub what do you expect!
The type face was the one used in the Science Fiction exercise from A & D.

Re: Challenge 345: Space suit
Thanks Steve. The planet was from Advanced Photoshop some time ago. Clouds filter but then displacement map, and a bit more! The 'scarring' on his face was a reflection of a far off space station - obviously a bit small! Still not sure about the focus, will ask my chap, if anyone knows he will.
Nice to see my first banner again, seems like a long time ago now. Have a lovely week-end all.

James - Zombie, thanks for explaining. I could see some amour and clay modelling, but would never have got (gotten - US) the connection to Ghost. I just like some of the music. He looks like my friend and he loves his wife very much.........

Thanks again Steve.
You're right about her eyes. You have a very clear eye.
She was trying to be aggressive rather than being scared. If you shout loud enough, even space can't hear you,
but looks can kill.

Thanks Steve for your comments. I had a lot of fun with this one. I have always thought a bronco was a horse so I am going to go with Bull.

Thanks Steve,
'Fraid I might not have too much time to appear in the Challenges for a while as I have just started a new work project which is going to keep me pretty busy for a while - but I will be looking in on a regular basis and trying to keep up with some of the new talent that is appearing here.

A new member this week, and oddjob has a great idea: Tommy Cooper in space, complete with fez, top hat and rabbit. I like the shake on the leg, but I'd have been really impressed if you'd stuck the rabbit in a spacesuit as well! Welcome to the forum, Kath.

Thanks Steve :0) A Rabbit in a space suit? You sound nearly as daft as I am !!!! :0D

Re: Challenge 345: Space suit
Well, I got the answer, the screen would be in focus as it is what we are looking at, as well as the surround of the screen. The planet could obviously be in or out of focus as desired.
