I do, too, even though I have a much, much bigger screen (15"). But it's actually very easy to zoom in and out by pressing the [Edit] Alt-key and using the scroll wheel on the mouse.
I never use the pan function since I just put mouse pointer where I want the center of the picture and just zoom in and out. So I don't really feel I have a need for a bigger screen.
The number of dots are more important. You don't benefit (well, it could save some money if you don't have to buy new glasses, of course) from having a larger screen, if you run the same resolution on both. And then there's the wieving distance...

A high performance computer would be heaven, though.
