Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
Thanks Becky. Maybe I'll try some snow next.
I have a question, I'm using the CS4 trial which is the extended version - how is the animation part different in the regular version? I can't see paying for the extended but am curious.

Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
I can't answer that question Ellen - I have CS3 Extended so not sure but I think it's pretty much the same deal.

Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
It's behind schedule, it's too long, and it's way over budget. I think I'm ready for Hollywood now.

Brewell, that is just great! Especially the dangling light string.

Thanks, Maiden, Ellen. I have a much deeper respect for the animators in the group.

Gorgeous animations all round. Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!! Brewell, I love your gingerbread man!

Ellen, from what Ive seen with cs4, the animation section is the same as it is in cs3. But mind you, I havent explored it to the fullest capacity as yet.

Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
Hi Ellen,

Animation in CS4 is pretty much the same as CS3, except this time Adobe remembered to add an option to open and save gif animations. To save a Gif animation in CS4, just use save for web.

In the spirit of this challenge, I did this animation completely in photoshop.

don't worry dave I have ordered you a zimmer frame should arrive after Xmas

Thanks Steve, but my legs haven't given out quite yet. Carrying those heavy platters was good exercise.

Dave.

Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
I hope you all had a good break over the Christmas period. Sorry I'm not able to post this week due to the bout of Bubonic Pague that is currently savaging Nicole's and my body. Nicole, however, calls it "just influenza". It doesn't feel very just but it is quite encouraging as, at last, the flu jab I had last month has finally kicked in! If our wracked frames survive we are off to Paris for the New Year ....... but don't tell Steve!

Happy New Year to everyone

Ted

Re: Contest 229: Christmas lights
Thanks for the info on the differences in versions, I have CS2 now with Image Ready that I never really fooled with, but I'm liking the trial of CS4.

Please excuse yet another attempt.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and hoping the New Year will not be as bad as they are making it out to be!
