Re: Contest 231: Concept correction
Thank you Steve .

It's always a bit "poke and hope" with my work but if I recall I fused the wheels to the car with a combination of (not very successful) cloning, hand painting and judicious blurring - basically I just throw techniques at a piece until it looks right

Talking of concept cars - here's one from a Dutch (I think) artist...

Re: Contest 231: Concept correction
The cartoon quality of Wayne's entry is superb: I'd really like to know what combination of filters you used to get such a crisp edge. The adaptation of the wheels into rocket jets works particularly well. Are the Jetsons just a touch small for the vehicle, though?

Thanks Steve. I agree the Jetsons are a bit small. I cut them in a group from another image and I couldn't get them any bigger because of the dog. Should've separated the driver and scaled him up on his own!

As for the filters, Median to smooth out the colours and then Poster Edges. I also added a 2 pixel stroke around the outside.
Then increased Saturation a bit and added Noise to match the figures.

Congrats on your title Custom Cobber! Really good entries this week all round.

Thanks Steve
there is an underlying feeling of nausea when I look at this picture...

Sorry, didn't want to make you sick. I guess I went a little overboard, but once I got started, I just couldn't help myself.

Now this one would make me nauseas:

Much obliged, sir.
Here's my starter: A sweetgum burr on a stump. It's a seedpod that drops off trees in late Summer and reminds you to wear shoes.

Sorry, I forgot to pay attention to the car's glass...
Anyway I really enjoyed working on it!

I'll try to make the topiary a good one...
