Contest 84: Flood the city
There was some talk in a Friday Challenge a couple of weeks ago about raising water levels, so I thought I'd give you the chance to experiment with this one. Let's make the Thams flood its banks. How high? Well, that's entirely up to you: the higher the water, the fewer buildings there will be poking out of it. I'd like to see a consistent water level, though! High res is here. |

Thanks Ted. Looks like the flood did not abate after I photographed the scene. When Born2Run took his photo there was an additional 25 feet of water. Marty |

Re: Contest 84: Flood the city
that was a hard one....I watched "The day after tomorrow" a few days ago and I just had to have a giant wave in there. Never thought I would manage and I probably did some things wrong...but that's how you learn I guess. |

Re: Contest 84: Flood the city
Hi Jim.... a good place to start is Chapter 9 page 204 of Steve's book (HTCIP Third Edition... that's assumming you have the book???.... if not... run out quick and buy a copy lol) ... entitled 'Water, Water Everywhere' and also continued on pages 206-207 ...(that's how I made my water) ... it's really worth a look if you feel a lil stumped rite now... read through the few pages and I'm pretty sure you will come up with sumthing |
