					Contest 89: Mother's Day
Well, this Sunday is Mother's Day (or, more properly, Mothering Sunday) here in the UK. I know this day falls in the US in March, but for once we get there ahead of you. So here's a miserable mother, who looks like she needs cheering up. Is there anything young Mr Whistler can do to help her out of the doldrums? High res is here. ![]() |

Steve will do anything to try and put a smile on someones face! Unfortunately even his 'happy dance' doesn't seem to help!

Please note that search as you might, there is no image of me in this picture. I have titled this picture "Marty's Wife and Grandchild". |

Marty, don't use apostrophes in file names! That's why the image didn't show up! I've fixed it for you, in both the image name and the post. |

Have you ever wanted to be that fly on the wall? To know what really happened to "person x" on "such and such" day in history? Well, here's that flys account from an afternoon back in 1871. "...James, have you fed Dino yet today?" |

What could make a better Mother's Day. Me and the old lady decided to move back in with mom. Look at the joy written all over her face! ![]() |

That's delightful Marty. The painterly colouring on Mrs Marty's face is really good. Did you not have a Sailor's suit or lace dress (in which they used to dress small boys in those days!) for your grandson? Ted |

Little attention has been paid to the role of Whistler's Moggie as an inspiration to the artist (and probably for good reason.) ![]() _________________ Dogs have masters;Cats have staff. |
