Contest 148: Clowning around
Looking at Whaler's entry in last week's Challenge, I remembered that all clowns have their own distinctive make-up - and, I believe, their copyright is registered by them painting their make-up onto an egg. So I thought, who can I pick as the basis for a week of clowns? Only one face really sprang to mind.

Fun aside, the hard part here will be creating the base white coat of make-up: how can we do that without losing all the detail in the face?

High res is here.

Having started the clown business in the last challenge, I'm on my toes and just keep on going!

Wow... why not use a likeness of Muhammed? Oh, wait... how'd that work out for the Danes?

How fortunate we have it... we can mock and deride our leadership without fear of imprisonment or death. Thank God the Chamberlains of our country have yet to hold Mr. Bush's office.

ok, here goes mine. Forgive me for my long absence. And, by the way, my congratulations Steve for your new book... hope to get it soon, here in Spain.

well, it's well known for everyone that certain presidents haven't had too much luck with the spelling contests when they were child, so... a little joke about it hope you like it.

and for second, one frame taken of his last film, "bloody summer"
(he said yesterday literally: "this is gonna be a bloody summer")

Glad I had a look on the forum today, as I was just about to start Bush as Pennywise the clown on the front cover of IT. Very well done Tooquilos. I think much better than I would have done.

Back to the drawing board, I guess ...

My opinion about the fact of politize (it's well said so?) a simple friendly game of retouching is basicaly that: this should't be happening.

This is a game, a joke, and it's a beautiful 'show' of freedom. We show our freedom, playing, joking, smiling and having the chance of making our opinions funny, to get out "fire" of them (I mean, make it them less 'hard' than could seem from outside).

And, by the way, the remembrance or comparision about the Dutch crisis about Muhammed (mahoma) only scares me because if we show the same lack of freedom than fundamentalist people did, only means that we are as shortminded or freedom blocker as that people was.

I love all people all over the world, don't hate anyone, but I'd wish certain fundamentalist people all over the world hasn't the chance of put his dirty thoughs over our clean, unpourposal, friendly games.

Today we joke about Bush... maybe tomorrow you'll be joking about my president (zapatero, we joke about him yet now), or myself indeed... it has no importance, it's only a game, for God shake.

So, keep playing let be friends.

Want to see clowns? Visit Washington...the place is full of them!

A distorted view of a man with a distorted view.
